Opening the Box of Doll House Kits

I heard an ingenious doll houses kits building tip the other day, and thought I'd share it in case any of you are starting a new dollhouse project soon! Did you know that many doll house kit boxes are meant to be opened on three sides to make a work tray?

That way, you can keep all of the die-cut pieces in the same box they came in as you build the dollhouse. Also remember not to punch out any pieces from the sheets until the instructions call for them. I made that mistake with my very first doll house! It feels satisfying to punch them out, but then you have a bunch of unidentified pieces lying around. If you do punch them out, always write the name of the piece and the sheet number in pencil.

If you're just opening a doll house kit, I'd love to hear about your new project!
