A Dollhouse Kit for Sarah!
Last year, just before Christmas, I decided to build a dollhouse for my daughter, Sarah. It’s my most recent dollhouse project. I wanted something I could do relatively quickly, but was high in quality. I chose the ‘Princess Anne’ dollhouse kit and it was a perfect choice!
A Dollhouse Kit for Sarah!
The windows come mostly preassembled, the staircase is one milled piece, as is the siding, and the pieces are truly well-fit. The instructions are detailed and very helpful. After just a few hours (mostly drying time, really), it was ready to decorate. The most complicated part was staining and applying shingles to the roof and even that was not a difficult task at all! The truly hard part about it was hiding it so she wouldn’t see it before the big reveal!
I was very pleased with how excited Sarah was (and still is) about her first wooden dollhouse - this simple, but elegant Victorian dollhouse. It’s perfectly-sized for our home - not too big to fit comfortably in her room, but large enough to really enjoy! We did it up in her favorite purple shades with a crisp, white trim and it’s lovely. It really is a treasure! It’s a thick, sturdy build, very well-suited to be a little girl’s dollhouse, but classic and detailed enough to be an heirloom with your personal touches.
I feel I made the right choice by getting the ‘Princess Anne’ dollhouse kit for Sarah. It was an easy project, fun to build and Sarah absolutely loves it!
